Christian Spiritual Warfare

The answer is yes. In 2 Corinthians 10:4 it states "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds". This verse of scripture gives explicit evidence that us Christians are in a warfare. Unfortunately, many Christians are complacent to this fact and feel that they are immune to Satan's devices.

The lord instructs us in His word that we should not be ignorant of his devices (2 Corinthians 2:11). The lord has chosen us to be soldiers in His holy army and if we war, we should not be warring with the affairs of life (2 Timothy 2:4).If so, you are warring with the wrong enemy. Actually, for you to be entangled with the cares of life, the enemy had ensnared you to re-direct your focus from your destiny's path. This is a device of distraction. To combat against it, the lord told us we should cast our cares upon him and to seek first the kingdom of God (Mathew 6:33), which in turn would cause us to direct our focus upon God's purpose and will for our lives which would fulfill our destiny and cause us to be more vigilant (1 Peter 5:8).

¿Nosotros somos en una guerra?

La respuesta es afirmativo. En 2 Corintios 10:4, se dice que "porque las armas de nuestra milicia no son carnales, sino peoderosas en Dios para la destruccion de fortaleza." Este verso se da evidencia explícita que los cristianos son en una guerra. Desafortunadamente, muchos cristianos son satisfecho y piensan que son inmune a las estrategemas de Satanás.

El Señor nos instruye en su Palabra que no seamos engañados de Satanás y que no debemos ser ignorante de sus maquinaciones (2 Corintios 2:11). El Señor nos ha escogido a ser soldados en su santo ejercito y si vamos a la guerra, no debemos hacer guerra con los asuntos de la vida (2 Timoteo 2:4). Si lo hacemos, nos equivocamos en el enemigo proprio. Realmente, por ser atrapados en los asuntos de la vida, el enemigo le habria atrapado a usted y remite su foco/meta del camino destino. Esta es una estrategema de distracción. Para combatirla, el senor nos dijo que debemos dar nuestros asuntos a El (Mateo 5:33), el cual nos causaria centrar en el proposito de Dios y la voluntad por nuestras vidas, a resulta cumpiria nuestro distino, nos hace ser más vigilantes. 

Spiritual. The bible explicitly states "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places" (Ephesians 6:12). It is stated clearly that our warfare is spiritual. Although we walk in the flesh we do not war after the flesh (2 Corinthians 10:3). And the weapons of our warfare are not carnal. Carnal represents the flesh; weapons of the flesh i.e. backbiting, envy..etc. Our weapons are strickly spiritual and in order to use them we should be walking in the Spirit. Our vital warfare tool is prayer. If you are not a praying Christian you have already lost the battle because you would be susceptible to temptation which can induce inevitable defeat(Eph. 4:7; Mat. 14:38; Lk. 21:36). The importance of prayer is a whole subject on its own but I am sure you have heard it repeatedly in church. The fervent effectual prayer of a righteous man availeth much (James 5:16). But why is there so much defeat in the lives of many Christians? Well, as mentioned in the statement before - it is due to lack of prayer. As a result, we have a bunch of Christians with a lack of knowledge of the enemy's devices and when a person who is possessed with demons seeking deliverance we are unable to cast them out because the enemy does not recognize us in heaven or in earth because our prayers have not ascended to that extent. We would be like the sons of Sceva who have not experienced for ourselves the power of His name (Acts 19:14-20)or have a REAL relationship with Christ through prayer and would be overtaken by the enemy. God forbid!

It is time us Christians wake up out of spiritual slumber and rise up with violent prayers that would put instant fear in the enemy; that is how the enemy recognizes us in the spiritual realm and becomes wary of us. Surely we would become those whom he cannot devour (I Pet. 5:8).

¿Es nuestra guerra espiritual o físico?

Espiritual. La biblica se dice explicitamente que "no tenemos lucha contra sangre y carne; sino contra principados, contra potestades, contra señores del mundo, gobernadores de estas tinieblas, contra malicias espirituales en los aires." (Efesio 6:12) Se dice claramente que nuestra guerra es espiritual. Aunque andamos en la carne, no militamos según la carne (2 Corintios 10:3).  Porque las armas de nuestra milicia no son carnales. La palabra "carnal" se representa la carne;  las armas de la carne incluye i.e. las murmeraciones, el envidio...etc. Nuestras armas son espiritual y para usarlas debemos caminar en el Espiritu. Nuestra herramienta vital es la oración. Si no es un cristiano que ora, ya ha perdido la batalla porque sería susceptible a la tentación el cual puede induce rechazo inevitable (Efe. 4:7; Mat. 14;38; Luc.21:36). La imporancia de la oración es un sujeto importante, pero estoy segura que usted lo ha oido muchas veces en su iglesia. Recuerde que la oracion del justo, obrando eficazmente, puede mucho (Sant. 5:16) ¿Por qué hay mucho rechazo en las vidas de algunos cristianos? Pues, como mencionado en la frase antes, es debido a la falta de la oración. Como consequencia, hay algunos cristianos con una falta de conocimiento de las estrategemas del enemigo y cuando una persona es demonizado buscando liberación, no pueden quitar los demonios porque el enemigo no les reconocen en el cielo u en la tierra porque sus oraciones no han ascendido hasta cierto punto. Serían como los siete hijos de Sceva que no han experimentado el poder de Su nombre (Hechos 19:14-20) o han tenido una relación verdadera con el Cristo por medio de la oración y serían vencido por el enemigo. Nunca tal!
